This Privacy Policy explains how Lana Labs, LLC ("Lana", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our website and apps available at lanatrips.com and our mobile applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (collectively, the "Service").
Who we are
Lana Labs, LLC provides trip and expense tooling to help you organize travel details, upload and process receipts, match expenses with credit card statements, and prepare information for systems like DTS.
Information we collect
- Account and Authentication Information. When you create an account or sign in, we collect information necessary to authenticate you, such as your email address and a unique identifier from your chosen sign-in method (Apple, Google, or email/password).
- Subscription and Billing Information. If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We receive limited billing-related information from Stripe (e.g., status, plan, and metadata) but we do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Content you upload or provide. This includes receipts, credit card statements, trip details, and other files or information you intentionally upload to the Service. We process this content to extract structured data to power product features (e.g., expense matching and categorization).
- Usage Data and Device Information. We may collect usage information such as interactions with the app, device and browser type, and diagnostic data. Where enabled, this may include analytics events to help improve the Service’s reliability and user experience.
- Cookies and Local Storage. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and secure your account.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service and its features (e.g., organizing trips, processing receipts, and matching expenses).

- To manage subscriptions and payments (via Stripe).

How we share information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not run third‑party advertising in the Service. We share information only with service providers (processors) necessary to deliver the Service, subject to appropriate agreements:
- Authentication and Hosting. We use cloud services (e.g., Google Firebase) to host the Service, authenticate users, store files, and operate core features.
- Payments. We use Stripe to process subscription payments on the web. We also offer in‑app subscriptions via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store; purchases made there are processed by Apple and Google under their respective policies, and your active subscription status carries over into the web app. Stripe/Apple/Google may collect and process payment information under their own privacy policies.
- Analytics. If enabled, we may use analytics services (e.g., Firebase Analytics) to understand usage and improve the Service.
- Platform Providers. Our apps are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, which may collect certain device or diagnostic data subject to their own policies.
We may also disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (where allowed, we will provide notice and choices).
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, subject to any legal requirements and routine backup cycles.
Your choices and controls
- Access and Update. You can view and update certain account information from within the Service.
- Delete Account. You can request deletion of your account and associated content from within the app (where available) or by contacting us.
- Cookies. You can control cookies at the browser level; disabling them may affect authentication or functionality.
- Communications. You can control email preferences from within the app (where available) or by following the instructions in the message.
Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
